Since we’re in the era of COVID, but also a terrible misinformation age, it’s time to clarify what the vaccine, or symptom reducer, is not.
There are conspiracies going around on underground websites and various social media platforms that insist the Mark of the Beast mentioned in Revelation is the COVID-19 vaccine.
God is the God of Truth, not possibilities, or maybes. He is certainly not the god of conspiracies. He gave us the truth and what to watch for. That’s right! God gave us a ‘heads-up’.
If someone were actually reading Revelation, they would see these verses:
Chapter 13: 16 Also he compels all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead [signifying allegiance to the beast], (AMP)
Chapter 14:9 Then another angel, a third one, followed them, saying with a loud voice, “Whoever worships the beast and his image and receives the mark [of the beast] on his forehead or on his hand, (AMP)
Chapter 20:9 And then I saw thrones, and sitting on them were those to whom judgment [that is, the authority to act as judges] was given. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had refused to worship the beast or his image, and had not accepted his mark on their forehead and on their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. By all means, go look up the KJV, the NKJV, the Good News Bible, the ESV, the RSV, the NASB, The ESB – which ever translation you choose and you’re going to see the same thing: A mark on the hand (sometimes noted as forearm) or forehead, (or possibly both, as noted in Revelation 20:9). Where in the Bible does it state that we’re going to be pierced in the upper arm, by a fine object and injected with some foreign substance and that’s going to be the mark?
God can be quite literal and in this instance, the Revelation is very literal as it is passed down to John, because the same thing is stated over and over. This is done for emphasis.
Revelation also mentions (and this is often ignored) that people will be worshiping the beast or an image of the beast (maybe a statue, currency with his picture on it, flag, or even a photo) and receive the mark. To put it into context, plenty of people don’t like their current leadership (wherever they may reside), but many have had a vaccine / shot / jab for COVID. This is not worship of the beast. It’s not even close. The injection is typically injected into the muscle of the upper arm, but certainly not the hand, wrist or forehead.
Whose word do you trust? God’s, or a conspiracy website?
