Statement of Faith

I believe in God the father, God the son and God the Holy Spirit are all part of the One True God.  I believe that God created the Heavens and the Earth. I do not believe in the theory of Evolution. If the Big Bang occurred, then it was directed by God. I do not believe we come from aliens. I do not believe the earth is flat.

I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins, so that I may have ever lasting life and not perish (John 3:16) . I believe that nobody can come to the Father, except through the son, Jesus Christ, who was crucified but then rose three days later.

I believe that greater is He who is in me, than He who is in the world. All things are possible with God.

I believe the Holy Bible to be the Word of God.

I believe that we are living under the Covenant of Grace, but that does not mean sin 6 days of the week only to seek forgiveness on the 7th.

I believe Jesus understands we are not perfect creatures and so we need to seek forgiveness just as He forgives us. We also need to forgive those who have gone against us.  And we need to continue to strive to be better.

I believe the Holy Spirit to be present and active in my life to help strengthen, guide and assist me in my walk.

I believe the most important relationship I can have is the one with the Lord Jesus. I have made Jesus Lord over my life. The only way to find true purpose and meaning in life is through Salvation and asking Him what he wants of us. Submitting to the will of God, not the will of the flesh and others.

I believe Jesus called us to speak the Truth, which is the Gospel of Peace and to turn from our sins and seek to be like Him.

I believe we should do unto others as we would have them do unto us. To love thy neighbour isn’t just to love the person who lives next to you, but the stranger in the street, or across town, in another country etc.

I believe us humans are extremely fortunate that we have a loving God who has shown us mercy and given us a path home at the end of our mortal lives, but it is up to us to make a conscious decision to walk that path (the path of Salvation).

It’s not always easy and can require sacrifice and often a great deal of change to get our lives right with Him, but the first part is easy.

Salvation takes only a tiny amount of faith – just a request, an apology for all of your sins (even if you can’t name them, it doesn’t matter) and a statement that Jesus will be Lord over your life.

Walking the walk takes a bit more effort, but living in truth is much more satisfying to one’s conscience compared to living in lies and being part of the lie.

Sincerely, and not perfect, but saved by the grace of God.

RJ Vincent.
