I am currently taking a course at church on the Psalms and the instructor seems to have a rather lofty goal of having us commit some of them to memory. As you may be aware, a lot of the Psalms can be quite lengthy and yet there is some wonderful scripture and wisdom in them that should be committed to memory.

I’m not sure about you, but I learned a lot of things as a child by reciting them over and over or as we call “parrot fashion”. I initially recorded a Psalm with the intent on replaying it over and over through the day but due to the fact I used a voice recorder rather than a podcast app, it was going to be a tedious exercise.

I did look for the Psalm I was wanting to memorize on a podcast, but I saw a commentary and the Psalm and I just wanted the scripture only.

So, without further ado, I’m going to be recording Psalms without a commentary so you can just download, listen, recite, replay etc to help you remember them.  I will be reading from the NKJV (New King James Version). It’s traditional without the “thees and thous”.

I hope you might find this a useful tool. My aim will be to produce two a week, although I’m not sure if I’ll actually remember two per week, but maybe your memory is a bit more elastic than mine.
