You were thought of and planned by the Almighty God. He knew you before you were born. You are not just a collection of randomly charged atoms vibrating against each other. You are not merely star dust that formed spontaneously (with no origin and no beginning). God created even all the heavenly bodies for a purpose! Your ancestors had ancestors and ancestors galore and you the descendant have managed to make it to this point, after countless wars, genocides, famines, plagues and disasters. God made sure you made it to this point in time.
Even if you feel like you don’t know why you are here, or what you are here for. God knows. God knows because He knows you, even if you don’t know Him. While science may explain how you got here, science often omits the fact that you are a miraculous being. Your existence is nothing short of a miracle! You are a miracle, regardless of how you entered this world, or who you were born to. You are a miracle that originated with love at the beginning of time and it’s that love from God who wants you to know Him. To know Him is to know why you are here and what you are here for.
God spoke to Jeremiah, the prophet and said:
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you [and approved of you as My chosen instrument],
And before you were born I consecrated you [to Myself as My own];
I have appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” – Jeremiah 1:5 (Amp)
While God may have spoken to Jeremiah in such a manner, God knows us all before we are born of the flesh. This life is temporary, but the eternal is not. You have a mind of your own, because you are an individual and God knows you. He knows what is in your heart and what troubles you. He also knows how to help you, but you have to ask Him. God doesn’t typically bust open the door of your heart unless you ask Him to.
You are not an accident. You were intentional. You were planned and God will give you purpose and reason, but you have to ask with all your heart. If life seems like it’s given you nothing but curses, God will show you how those curses can become blessings. You will be transformed from within, but you have to ask.
